Discover the Airborne 7
A walkthrough
The launch of the Airborne 7 in 2021 introduced the world to the next generation of RIBs. This boat honours what a classic RIB ought to be, with a new philosophy regarding handling that places this vessel in a league of its own. With the mighty Mercury Verado V8 at the stern, the countdown for takeoff starts as soon as you set foot on deck. Driving the Airborne 7 awakens a child-like joy while providing the sense of elegance expected from a Nordkapp vessel. It is untamed and classy, like a jaguar dressed in a tuxedo, handling razor-sharp manoeuvres with ease but always waiting to unleash at your command.
At the forefront of the boat, the bow section introduces a convenient bow step and a dedicated storage space for rope, simplifying docking and mooring tasks. The innovative design of the bow cushion is split in two so you can flip it open when boarding to avoid stepping on it. This section transforms into a vast sunbed, perfect for relaxation on sunny days. And when you can swiftly deploy the cushion cover from the console to protect the seats when needed.
Safety and ease of navigation are paramount on the Airborne 7, evidenced by sturdy handrails along the pontoons and a large console equipped with a protective windscreen. Storage is plentiful throughout the boat, including a spacious compartment in the console, where you'll also find the easy-to-deploy sprayhood and canopy. The design facilitates seamless movement between the bow and cockpit, highlighted by a wide passage on the port side.
The cockpit area is spacious and customisable, with various equipment options. It features a Garmin plotter, a 923 or 1223 model, engine readouts for RPM and speed, an active trim panel for Mercury engines, and a well-positioned gas/gear lever. Practicalities include shelving for personal items and a 12-volt socket for charging electronic devices. The boat's main power switches are conveniently located under the console.
Comfort extends to the seating, with richly padded cushions and hand-selected fabrics to enhance your experience. You can adjust the seating by the helm for sitting or standing, and you'll find the boat canopy conveniently stored under these cushions for easy access. The cooler drawer is under the passenger seat, ensuring you're never without refreshing drinks or snacks on your adventures. The aft deck offers ample space for movement, with cushions that you can easily tilt to facilitate access to the bathing platform without stepping on them.
Storage solutions are thoughtfully integrated throughout. These include a large compartment under the aft seating bench and a dedicated space for the boat's fenders under the step to the bathing platforms. The Airborne 7's large bathing platforms serve multiple purposes, from a leisurely seat by the water to a practical spot for mooring or anchoring, with an optional anchor winch available.
Powered by Mercury engines, with the option of upgrading to the 250 HK Verado V8, the Airborne 7 is a testament to performance and versatility. Additional storage for rope and a bathing ladder on the starboard side underscore the boat's thoughtful design.
We designed the Airborne 7 to enhance your time at sea, providing the joy and convenience expected from a RIB with the upgraded luxury of a Nordkapp boat. You can learn more about the Airborne 7 and build your vessel here.
